ECCMID 2019 Programme Book Grants initiative - Paying it forward

For ECCMID 2019 we have introduced a new initiative, the ECCMID Programme Book Grant.

The printed version of the ECCMID 2019 Programme Book will only be available for ECCMID attendees willing to pay a € 20 donation. As usual, the ECCMID programme will be freely available at ECCMID webpage in PDF format, as well as within the ECCMID app.

The revenues of this initiative will be used to directly support attendees who would otherwise not be able to attend the congress. These grants are awarded on a balance of criteria including age, ESCMID membership status, and country of origin. The grants will be used to cover the costs of travel, registration and accommodation for the recipients. We expect to reduce the total tonnage of paper and colour printing, at the same time offering more grants for those colleagues in need.

If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to email the Congress Secretariat at

The application for the ECCMID Programme Book Grant is now closed
